They started out by getting their skin checked and having their weigh-in. Then we all went into the gym, and awaited instruction.
The Legacy K-2 wrestling coach is just awesome. He's the perfect combination of a general and a big teddy bear. Our boys have very different personalities, but each responded well to this man.

Mary stayed busy with her backpack full of art supplies (when we were not running around, tag-teaming between mats!).
Grant wrestled first, and was in the same weight bracket with his buddy, Ashton.

Ivan started after Grant's first match. Ivan is naturally very competitive and just thrived in this environment. He won his first of three matches... but put up an incredible fight every time.
Notice the score in the background... Ivan's is red, to match the ankle band he's wearing.

We were so proud of the boys. Both pushed through all three matches, and learned quite a bit too. Mary was a little trooper and helped us cheer them on. After it was all over and they'd picked up their trophies, we headed out to Chuck E. Cheese's. It was time to celebrate the good grades they'd just come home with on their report cards on Friday! Like I said... it was a fun day.
