We have internet!!!

We are BACK. I've had a few friends ask if we are "okay," because we have not been online much. I have not even had the chance to update my blog since our arrival in Minnesota. So, here's the answer: ALL IS WELL! We are enjoying our time near my family, and are learning the "ropes" of living up north again.

We arrived here at the end of May, wishing for a glimmer of hope that Bill would find a full time civilian job. Well, that has not happened, as the economy is not too friendly right now. Nobody is hiring... anywhere (it seems). So, he's been stepping up his Air National Guard job a notch to fill in the gaps 'til he gets hired somewhere in the Twin Cities.

We were living with my parents for the first month that we were here. Then, as always, God pulled through with the perfect temporary living plan for our family. My parents have a tiny rental home right down the street. The tenants moved out at the end of June, and we moved in! So, we now have our own space - it's small, but very cozy! I'll post pictures soon, as we have been staying very busy with the kids in the midst of house hunting.

Speaking of house hunting... I think we tipped the scales at around 90 homes (we may have even beat the Hess' house hunting number!). After all of that, we found a lot in Andover, Minnesota on the Rum River - about 25 minutes north of Minneapolis, and 15 minutes from my parents in Champlin (for my out of town friends). We have until the 7th to sign the building agreement. So, unless something crazy happens, or God reveals some other plan to us in the next few days... we will be building.

So, once again, stay tuned for updates. We finally had a successful visit with Comcast, and have internet installed in our rental home. No more late night runs up the street to Mom and Dad's house to check email! So, check in on us... we'll be checking in on you. :)
