Parading from A to Z!
This week, we had the Kindergarten and 4 year old classes' Alphabet Parade. It's an annual school event to celebrate the end of the year, and top off learning the entire alphabet! Ivan had the letter "G" - can you guess what he is?
We began the parade outside of First Baptist, performing for the 3's and 2's classes. Mrs. Trenchard, the school director, went from A to Z, calling out the letter and asking, "What does it stand for?" And the audience would guess and shout it out. Then, after ending with Z, she would invite everyone to sing the alphabet song together. It was very cute, and everyone enjoyed it. We made a total of four stops - our school, another elementary school, a day care, and a senior citizen center. By the end... the kids were exhausted and dragging their feet back to the school. It was a beautiful day though, and everyone had a great time!
"G is for Golfer!"
Hi, Grant! He loved seeing the parade and singing along... but wondered why he couldn't be in it. Next year, buddy.
G, H, and I... You gotta love Hannah Montana and the Ipod. Hilarious.
